Ashleigh celebrated her 5th birthday with a ladybug party. It is hard to believe she is already five. She has been so excited about this birthday and is trying to act very big now that she is five. For the party we invited Ashleigh's Sunday School class and her two neighborhood friends.
We had a "dirt" birthday cake which everyone just ate the gummy worms off of.
We made ladybug costumes.
We decorated ladybug cupcakes.
We played several bug games in the basement while wearing our ladybug costumes. We also had a ladybug pinata in the garage.
After all the inside fun, we headed outside to play in the sprinkler until moms arrived.
This is my favorite picture! This is Ashleigh's best friend, Olivia, who lives next door. She and her family are big-time swimmers and I guess Olivia doesn't go anywhere without her goggles.
