This was the summer of swimming lessons! We had swimming lessons four days a week for six weeks! Whew! These kids love to swim! Owen was SO happy to pass level 2 after the first four weeks of lessons. He is an awesome swimmer! We are so proud of him and all of his hard work this summer! We will work on his endurance next summer. I am toying with the idea of swim team, but that means a big time commitment. We shall see.
Owen loves the diving board! One evening we went swimming at the pool as a family and Owen spent the entire night jumping off the diving board. I bet he jumped 100 times! He could not get enough of it!
Here is little man at swimming lessons waiting in line for his turn on the diving board. It is amazing the progress he made with this over the course of six weeks! At the beginning of summer, I had to stop him from running away screaming from the diving board and watch him basically get thrown in when he wouldn't jump. By the end of the six weeks, he was doing "cannon balls" off the diving board by himself.
He is still working on getting brave enough to do it on his own, but at least he isn't screaming!
