Happy 10th Birthday, Ashleigh!

For Ashleigh's 10th birthday, she invited a few of her close friends over to paint pottery.  We met a great lady at a pottery class who brings the pottery painting to you instead of going to a pottery painting studio for half the cost!  Ashleigh chose a cupcake dish for the girls to paint at her party.  The girls all enjoyed painting their cupcakes and especially loved adding sprinkles to the top!  We learned that Ashleigh cannot talk and paint at the same time and had some fun teasing her, but she managed to get hers painted the way she wanted.

The boys crashed the party when it was pizza time, but the girls didn't seem too bothered by them there.

I don't completely get the mustache craze, but these straws were super fun to watch them drink with!

Ashleigh chose a cookie cake again this year.  Of course I could only find nine candles minutes before the party started, so we lit the nine candles and then lit one of the candles again after she blew them out the first time so that she technically had 10 candles.  Whew!

Here she is making a wish...

Opening a fun spy journal from one of her friends

These spy glasses were Ashleigh's favorite present from her friends.  She loves to play spy with a neighborhood friend.  The glasses allow you to see what is behind you - they really work!

Happy Birthday, Ashleigh!  Ashleigh is the princess in our family not because she is the only girl, but because she cares for and loves everyone in her family.  She is a sweet, sweet girl always helping around home and making friends everywhere she goes.  She is very smart and a leader.  She calls herself a tomboy because she prefers to wear comfortable clothes and enjoys playing basketball.  She isn't afraid to get dirty and loves collecting worms and bugs when we are camping.  She is an awesome swimmer and loves to have fun!  She currently loves One Direction, panda bears, and the colors: lime green and turquoise blue.
