On our way home from our trip to Atlanta, we stopped in Chattanooga, Tennessee to tour Ruby Falls cave. We had not been to a cave since Ashleigh was a baby, so it was a lot of fun. This cave was amazing! Because the cave is completely solid limestone and nothing is growing or living inside, we were allowed to touch everything and take all the pictures we wanted. It was an hour and half tour, but the kids did well. It was relatively flat and handrails were provided when there was a little bit of incline.

Deep inside the cave (1120 feet underground) is a 145 foot waterfall that was discovered in 1928 by a man who named the waterfall "Ruby" after his wife.
