While we were excited to be moving back to Ohio in June, it was a little sad saying goodbye to the friends we had made during our 1 1/2 years in Omaha. Ashleigh's friends planned a special farewell party for her and gave her amazing, super thoughtful gifts. One of her friends wrote her a ton of letters sealed in separate envelopes with instructions as to when she should open them. I am forever grateful for these girls who helped Ashleigh develop into a confident, social girl during her time in Omaha. She is not afraid of starting over at a new school thanks to the confidence they gave her.
BFFs! We hope they can get together in the future, but for now they have daily Facetime chats.
It was also hard to say goodbye to our beloved adopted cat, Toby. He had become a part of our family by the end of our time in Omaha. The boys wanted to spend the afternoon relaxing with him in the sun during one of the moving days.
We are going to miss our favorite swimming beach at Louisville State Park just 20 minutes from our house. We were lucky enough to say goodbye to it the week of moving with dear friends whom we will miss!
